Heaven Below
Rack N Roll Club
Stamford, Connecticut
October 9, 2010

Heaven Below, from Los Angeles, is a brand new band with the requisite talent to go places. They have just released a six track extended play with a wealth of bonus video and audio material, and are in the middle of an extensive US tour.
Playing in front of an apathetic crowd more interested in playing pool than checking out the band, Heaven Below, nevertheless, plugged in and broke loose! Surely, they won a few fans at Rack N Roll with their high-octane fuse of contemporary Disturbed-like metal crossed with L.A. glam. Patrick Kennison, the unofficial bandleader, looks like a youthful Nikki Sixx and possess a fine voice. The rest of the band, Jesse Billson, John Younger and Chad Clark, are extremely competent and visually electrifying as well. Highlights included their raucously heavy cover of Pat Benatar’s “Heartbreaker,” and the ultra metal of “Dying Vicariously,” which moves back and forth from Disturbed to Motley. Their current single, “When Daylight Dies,” has already charted too.
They have all of the based covered as it relates to their musical approach, ability, and youthful looks. They are atypically L.A., yet have splashes of the Sunset Strip in their attitude. Heaven Below is a band to keep an eye on!
